Madrid airport to Toledo, without going through the city

You land at Barajas and your hotel is in Toledo. It happens more than you would think: people arriving for a wedding, a conference or three days away, with no reason at all to set foot in Madrid.

Public transport makes them set foot in it anyway.

The usual route sends you into Madrid so you can leave it again

Toledo is south. Barajas is north-east. Every connection between the two runs through the centre, so what you actually do is this: metro or commuter train from the terminal, a change in town, a coach or train to Toledo, and a taxi to the hotel at the far end.

Three changes with your cases. And the last one has a catch of its own: the old town sits high above the river on narrow streets, and the station is down at the bottom.

The airport is further from Toledo than the centre is, so you would expect it to cost more. It does not. The price is for the Madrid–Toledo run, and picking you up at the terminal carries no surcharge — not for the parking, not for the wait, not for the hour you happen to land.

Who it actually suits

Late arrivals. A flight landing at ten at night leaves few ways down to Toledo, and none of them comfortable with cases.

Anyone with real luggage. A wedding, a long stay, a conference with kit.

Anyone who does not know the city. Arriving after dark in a hilltop old town where half the streets are pedestrian, hunting for an address, is not the way to start a trip.

What we need from you when you book

Flight number and terminal. That is how we track the arrival and set the time.

The exact destination address. In Toledo this matters: some doorways are only reachable on foot from a particular point, and it is better to know that beforehand than in front of you.

How many of you. The car takes four passengers with luggage. For more, we can arrange a van, but the rate is different — ask us and we will tell you before you book.

Whether a child is travelling. An approved seat or booster costs €5 and we include it in your booking at no charge. Ask 24 hours ahead so it is fitted.

How much notice. Three hours is enough. We handle bookings from 06:00 to 23:00 and the service runs around the clock, so if you land before dawn we confirm the car the day before.
